Elmore Court Wedding in Gloucestershire | Annabelle & Mike

Annabelle and Mike’s wedding at Elmore Court in Gloucestershire felt special from the start! It had a lovely balance to it. Elegant and thoughtful in places, but also relaxed, warm and properly good fun. They were such a warm, relaxed couple to be around too. From the beginning, it felt clear that the day was about more than just the two of them. There was a real sense of warmth and friendship running through it all, which shaped the whole feel of the day. Elmore Court suited it perfectly as well, with so much character indoors and out, and so many different parts of the day naturally falling into place.

A beautifully emotional ceremony in the main hall

The ceremony in the main hall was one of the most personal we’ve photographed. There was plenty of laughter in it, but a lot of emotion too, and it felt like everyone in the room was right there with them. It had that rare balance of feeling elegant and heartfelt without ever becoming too formal. The main hall was a brilliant setting for it as well. It has so much presence, but still manages to feel intimate, and it really suited the tone of the ceremony. Everything felt very natural and very them.

A quiet moment beneath the chandelier

One of our favourite parts of the day came just before dinner, when Annabelle and Mike slipped back into the hall to practise their first dance. By then the room had been cleared after the ceremony, and all that was left was the grand piano, the chandelier and the sound of the rain outside. It was such a quiet pause in the middle of the day. The two of them just danced together in the middle of the room while everything else carried on elsewhere. Nothing staged, nothing overdone, just a really lovely moment that felt completely their own.

Exploring Elmore Court after the rain

Not long after that, the weather shifted and the rain gave way to sunshine, so we headed out for a few photographs around Elmore Court. The light after rain always seems to have something extra to it. It was a nice point in the day to slow things down for a few minutes. Once we had a bit of space to wander, there were some really relaxed moments, and it all felt very easy and natural. Then before long the pace changed again and the evening got going properly. Annabelle and Mike’s wedding has really stayed with us, it was a day full of warmth, emotion and so many genuinely lovely moments. The setting at Elmore Court suited it all perfectly! And if you’re planning an Elmore Court wedding and want photography that captures things naturally as they happen, we’d love to hear from you.
