It’s no secret that we absolutely love rural weddings so when a barn wedding in Wales gets mentioned we’re all ears! Wales is up there as one of our favourite wedding destinations – it’s a perfect fit for us! The Welsh landscape has some of the most amazing places to get married and Sarah and Jacob found a truly magical spot for their day…Wilde Lodge on the Powys/England border!
Wilde Lodge sits above the river Teme surrounded by stunning views of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales. Now this isn’t a typical wedding venue either, in fact it feels more like being in someone’s holiday home. It’s intimate, full of charm and character and nestled in the countryside. It’s the sort of place we’d head off to for a few days to relax and recharge…but it just so happens that you can also get married there. If you’re panning a barn wedding in Wales then you have to check it out!
Sarah and Jacob’s day was so relaxed and intimate with a guest count of around 30 family and friends. Both creatives, Sarah and Jacob made their day absolutely unique and personal by putting their personalities into every element. Sarah even created the gorgeous tapestry backdrop in the barn. Oh and keep an eye out for the photo of her incredible handmade sign ‘Good Food, Better Company’!! Two of life’s simplest but greatest pleasures – these guys created a celebration that more than lived up to these values and it was very special to be a part of with them.
